
Ms. Sarmini Woon

Sarmini Woon is a dedicated Carnatic vocalist, Bharatanatyam practitioner, and fine arts educator with over 9 years of teaching experience in Indian classical music and dance. Born and raised in Malaysia, she began her artistic journey at the age of four under the guidance of renowned gurus Guruayur Usha Dorai and Abdullah Abdul Hamid at Laasya Arts Academy.
A passionate advocate of Indian classical arts, Sarmini has undergone extensive training in both Carnatic Music and Bharatanatyam, developing a strong foundation in performance, pedagogy, and artistic discipline. She further pursued her academic training in India, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Music from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, where she also specialized in Carnatic Flute.
As an educator, Sarmini is known for her patient and nurturing teaching approach, inspiring students to develop both technical excellence and a deep appreciation for classical arts. She has mentored numerous young learners while serving as a resident fine arts teacher at Laasya Arts Academy in Malaysia.
At Sarva Fine Arts, Sarmini is committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians through structured training, musical excellence, and a lifelong love for Indian classical music.
