Mr. Theeban Ganesh

Instructor, Carnatic Vocal | Keyboard

Theeban Ganesh is a multi-talented classical artist and an experienced educator, known for his command over Bharatanatyam, Carnatic vocal, Nattuvangam, and music composition. Trained under several distinguished Gurus, including Smt. Neila Sathiyalingam, Smt. Tharmavathy Sundaramoorthy Kurukkal, Smt. Shanthini Sivanesan, and currently Guru Vishwakala Bharathi, his foundation is deeply rooted in both tradition and versatility.

A graduate of NCOMS, Sri Lanka, with a comprehensive syllabus covering the full Margam repertoire, Theeban has performed widely across Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Singapore. Notable appearances include Kathirasan Hall Colombo, University of Jaffna, Ramayan Fine Arts Festival, Natiya Vizha at Kumaraswami Hall, and international stages such as the Asian Summit in Cambodia (2012) and the Natya Kala Conference (India, 2010). He has also performed in major platforms in Singapore like Esplanade, SCTA, PA shows, and numerous MediaCorp Vasantham cultural programs.

Beyond performing, Theeban is also a seasoned choreographer, composing music, writing lyrics, and crafting original works across classical and folk traditions. His signature productions include authentic renditions of Kaavadi, Kolattam, and Kummi, staged at community centers and temples across Singapore.

As an educator, Theeban is widely respected for his ability to teach both performing technique and musical structure, often providing vocal support and nattuvangam for dance performances. His contributions extend to being a judge for school-level competitions in both Singapore and Sri Lanka.

Recognized for his wide-ranging talent, he was awarded the title of "Pal Kalai Viththakar", honoring his mastery in multiple disciplines, including Veena, Flute, Kanjira, Morsing, Tabla, and Keyboard. Balancing tradition with innovation, and artistry with academic depth, Theeban Ganesh is a true cultural asset—nurturing future artists while continuing his own journey as a performer and creator.
