Vid. Vaishnavi Jayaram is a highly accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and educator, bringing with her over 16 years of rigorous training under the esteemed Guru Vid. Unnath H R. She holds a Master’s degree in Performing Arts with distinction from Christ University, Bengaluru, reflecting both her academic excellence and deep commitment to the art form.
A dedicated and disciplined artiste, Vaishnavi secured first rank in the Karnataka State Board Junior examination and completed her Arangetram in 2019, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey.
In addition to her expertise in dance, Vaishnavi is also trained in Carnatic vocal music, which deeply enhances her understanding of rhythm, melody, and expression. This dual proficiency enables her to bring a holistic and enriched approach to her teaching and choreography.
She has performed extensively across India, with over 300 stage performances at prestigious platforms such as the Indian premiere of the American Battery Dance Company, Kannada Sangha (New Delhi), Hampi Utsav, Rudrapatna Sangeetotsava, Seva Sadan, Sri Sankara TV, and Doordarshan, among others. Her stage presence is marked by strong technique, expressive depth, and a refined understanding of Bharatanatyam.

In addition to her solo performances, Vaishnavi has contributed to several large-scale dance productions including Dashavatar, Vishwaroopa Darshan, Gangayana, and Hariharasuta, showcasing her versatility as both a performer and choreographer.
An active scholar and writer, she has presented research papers at various conferences and contributes as a columnist, reflecting her passion for both the practice and theory of dance.
